Scheduling jobs in Alert

The scheduling page enables you to schedule notification delivery.

Go to Jobs > Scheduling to enable you to determine the schedule and frequency for running the jobs you create under Configuration. In other words, this is where you schedule the delivery of notifications. The following settings in Scheduling apply to all jobs.

1. Collecting Black Duck data in: By default, Alert collects data every 60 seconds. This value indicates the number of seconds until the next time Alert pulls data from the providers. This value displays in real time. Note that if Black Duck is not configured, this field does not have a value.

2. Daily digest hour of day: Use the drop-down tool to select the hour of the day to run the daily digest distribution jobs.

3. Daily Digest Cron Next Run: Displays the date/time of the next daily digest run in UTC time.

4. Purge data frequency in days: Use the drop-down tool to select the frequency for cleaning up provider data; the default value is three days. When the purge runs, it deletes all data that is older than the selected value.

5. Purge Cron Next Run: Displays the date/time of the next purge of provider data in UTC time.

6. Click Save to retain your scheduling preferences.
