Installing Alert in Docker Swarm

Docker swarm is a container orchestration tool that enables users to manage containers that are deployed across multiple hosts.

The deployment files for Docker Swarm are in the docker-swarm directory of the zip file.
Releases are at https://github.com/blackducksoftware/blackduck-alert/releases

blackduck-alert-<VERSION>-deployment.zip file

  • Extract the contents of the ZIP file.

  • For installing with Black Duck the files are in the hub sub-directory.
    \blackduck-alert-<version>-deployment.zip\blackduck-alert-<version>-deployment\docker-swarm\hub\

  • For installing Alert standalone the files are in the standalone sub-directory.
    \blackduck-alert-<version>-deployment.zip\blackduck-alert-<version>-deployment\docker-swarm\standalone\

NOTE: This document covers editing only the docker-compose.local-overrides.yml file that is contained in the docker-swarm directory.
