The Hub Nexus plugin is a tool designed to help you manage the logistics of your Nexus repositories and contents. The Hub Nexus plugin can also help you uncover security and compliance risks associated with the open source artifacts stored in Nexus repositories.

As a Black Duck and Nexus user, the Hub Nexus plugin enables you to:

  • Run an artifact scan in a Nexus job, and:

  •  

    • Scan multiple artifacts within your Nexus repositories.

    • Create projects and releases in Black Duck through the Nexus job.

    • Schedule and automate the scanning of your Nexus repositories.

After a scan is complete, the results are available on the Black Duck server. Additionally, scanned artifacts include new properties in the Nexus user interface indicating the most recent scan time, scan status, and a URL to view the scan results in Black Duck.  The scan results create a Black Duck Bill of Materials (BOM), where you can view issues associated with your repositories.
